Our Tips

Start irrigating your lawn as late into the spring as possible, this will help your lawn develop stronger and healthier roots.

Monitor how much time your lawn sprinkler system can run before the water run off the property. At this point you should allow the water to be absorbed. In the next cycle reduce the time by 15 percent. Check if your lawn is getting enough water. If you can stick a screwdriver easily into the ground than it is a sign you can cut back watering. If it is hard to get it in than increase watering.

Trees and plant beds need less water than the lawn so it is better to water the lawn separately.

Watering at night can reduce evaporation loss by 12 to 28 percent. Avoid water during hot hours of the day when evaporation is high.

Some lawn sprinkler system  have timing mechanism. They can be programmed to activate the system
on the day and time you need. The two basic types of clock units are electro-mechanical clocks and digital read-out clocks.

Look for a lawn sprinkler system unit that allows you to change watering schedules easily and to irrigate lawn separately from trees and plant beds.

Check your lawn sprinkler system heads and drip emitters every 10 days in the summer and every month in the winter. Also check the system after mowing.
